History
The Board of GAK has its seat in Arthur's Manor in Orunia which used to be a family property of Arthur Schopenhauer - a famous 18th-century Gdańsk philosopher.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a luxurious, beautifully located restaurant "Zur Ostbahn" was opened in the Schopenhauers' Manor. It became the favourite haunt for the inhabitants of the historic Gdańsk and artists from all around the world.
